All of a sudden, I understand everything happened to us. If the timeline of this movie reverse, it could be exactly our story. We fell in love with the perfect each other, or we can say…the fake us, not real us. Just like Ethan said 「I』m losing my wife to a mirror image of me, who happens to be like 20% cooler and 20% more emotionally evolved than me」. And just like the fake Ethan said 「Maybe all of us were doing a little pretending this weekend」. The 20% cooler and more emotionally evolved people is fake. It’s a kind of camouflage of us to attract each other. Especially in the first stage during a relationship. And that’s the beginning of a tragedy.
I have to admit that it’s my fault, because it’s me to reverse you sweet-dream to a nightmare. The true me is not a foolish, carefree, warmhearted and happy girl. But the real me, who is a clever, ambitious, cold and sexy woman. I』m sorry to make you fell in love with wrong person, but I really love the real me and I can』t pretend for my whole life. Maybe I was wrong to act like that at that time, when you got to know me.
After all that bullshitting, my passage has to back on track. This film resolve a question echoing in my head for a long time—when we have a crash on somebody, should we be ourself or pretend a better me? I guess the answer is you are alway playing the better you, if not, our relationship will be a mess. And don』t worry about those fake life, because when you pretend better you, you will get a positive feedback, which would make you life better. And you will turn into the better you gradually.
