第一次看電影時被過於混亂的人物關係搞得暈頭轉向，又加上是半夜昏昏欲睡。但這首歌響起時，就忽然被擊中。
一個醜陋的女人麻木地忍受著生活。忽然有一個光芒萬丈的女性告訴她：我是someting，你也是something。沉睡的自我便被點燃了。

在讀這本小說。書里提到的這首歌是另一個樣子：
忽然，我聽見有人喊我的名字。她說，我現在要唱的歌叫《西麗小姐之歌》。我生病的時候她常幫我梳頭，我於是寫了這首歌。
她先像在家裡的時候那樣哼了兩句。後來她唱了起來。
這支歌講的仍舊是沒心肝的男人委屈了她。可我沒去聽歌詞。我隨著她的調兒也哼了起來。
這是頭一回有人用我的名字作標題，寫歌曲。

電影裡把歌詞改了，直奔主題去了。雖然刻意，但實在激勵人心。
