      剛看完Casablanca。
      Rick在巴黎遇到Ilsa的時候，並不知道她已經是Victor的妻子；Rick在Casablanca遇到Ilsa的時候，也並不知道自己一直在Ilsa的心裡，從未離開。在Casa，他遇到的已經不是他認識的Ilsa，而是Mrs.Laszlo，他恨她，他悲傷，他反覆告訴自己一定不要原諒那個女人，卻在Ilsa出現的當晚，在咖啡館打烊之後，等待Ilsa的到來。"I'm waiting for a lady...She's coming back.I know she's coming back."明明恨她，又為什麼盼望她回來？人就是這樣。你惟一無法逃避的就是你自己，真實的自己。當我們疑問為什麼Rick會有這樣的舉動，其實我們已經在心理確信，換做是自己，一樣也要在那裡等候Ilsa的到來。Rick並不真的恨她。
      "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine."也許他真的從未想過在Casa遇到Ilsa，他躲在北非的角落，逃避自己，卻逃不出命運的安排。許多年，他不允許Sam彈奏As Time Gose By，但現在他已無法隱瞞，"You know what I want to hear..."於是Sam在那個晚上第二次彈奏幾年前在巴黎時經常彈奏的曲子，時間也隨之回到過去。
      Ilsa沒有騙過Rick，她一直愛著Rick，但當Victor死而復生的時候，她不是Ilsa，而是Mrs.Laszlo，Victor需要她，亦即革命需要她。所以她只能拋棄Rick而回到Victor的世界裡。"With the whole world crumbling, we pick this time to fall in love."彼此深愛的兩個人就這樣沒有結束地結束，罪過不在於Victor，而在那場戰爭。
      以後的幾年彼此都沒有太多故事，因為失去彼此，什麼都談不上故事。直到Ilsa來到Casa，來到Rick的咖啡館，再次闖入Rick的世界。Victor需要一張通行證，而Rick是惟一可以幫助他的人。但Rick不會原諒Ilsa，因為他並不知道幾年前Ilsa離去的真相。而再他知道以後，他決定成全Victor和Ilsa。我想如果換做是我，我會選擇讓Victor一個人走，把Ilsa留在自己身邊。我才不會考慮Ilsa對Victor有什麼重大意義，或者她能幫助鼓勵Victor的革命事業，去他媽的法蘭西，去他媽的世界反法西斯戰爭，事實很明顯，Rick和Ilsa彼此相愛，那就應該在一起。至於世界，自然會有人去拯救世界，或者，愛怎樣怎樣吧。Who cares?
      但電影裡，Rick選擇了世界，選擇了大愛，而非自己的小愛。不能和愛人在一起，這種痛苦他已經承受了很多年，不同之處在於上一次他是被拋棄，而這一次是他自己選擇放棄已經到手的愛人，更加痛苦。即使Ilsa選擇了要和Rick留在Casa，他依然堅持讓Ilsa和Victor一起走。與其說他向Ilsa解釋自己的決定，不如說他在往自己胸口戳刀子。看到這裡，還有誰能忍住自己的淚如雨下。兩個人也許無緣再見，但他們之間的愛不會結束，as time gose by.
 
-- But why my name, Richard?
-- Because you're getting on the plane.
-- I don't understand. What about you?
-- I'm staying here with him till the plane gets safely away.
-- No, Richard, no. What has happened to you? Last night we said...
-- ...Last night we said a great many things. You said I was to do the thing for both of us. Well, I've done a lot of it since then and it all adds up tp one thing. You're getting on the plane with Victor where you belong.
-- But Richard, no, I, I...
--...You've got to listen to me. Do you have any idea what you'd have to look forward to if you stayed here? Nine chances out of ten we'd both wind up in a concentration camp. Isn't that true, Louis?
-- You're saying this only to make me go.
-- I'm saying it because it's true. Inside of us we both know you belong with Victor. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it.
-- No.
-- Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.
-- But what about us?
-- We'll always have Paris. We didn't have, we'd lost it until you came to Casablanca. We got it back last night.
-- And I said I would never leave you.
-- And you never will. But I have got a job to do, too. Where I'm going you can't follow. What I've got to do you can't be any part of. Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that. Now, now...Here's looking at you ,kid.
