簡介
皮亞拉濃厚自傳色彩的《安寧的盡頭》，以一貫的冷靜自持，不論理、不催情地描述瀕死的母親、愛慕母親卻無法再多看她幾眼的兒子，以及鎮日花天酒地，卻在病榻前誠心照顧妻子的父親，三人心中各懷痛楚，卻無法抹滅親人間血濃於水的事實。本片上映時雖然叫好不叫座，卻深受影評鍾愛，常與柏格曼的《哭泣與耳語》相互比較。
